The Somali-American Trade and Economic Council, Inc and Somalis in Diaspora condemns The Ethiopian Aggressions Via Somali War Lords, which has been holding a hostage our people for the last eleven years and still have undermining the will of the peace loving Somalis and their representatives in The Transitional National Government.
In the years of civil war, countless women have been raped, an estimated more then 500,000 Somalis have died by hunger and guns(supplied by Ethiopian Government) , and hundreds of thousands either internally displaced or forced to seek refugee in other countries. The situation in most of Somalia is largely stabilized since TNG was established. However, the warlords who flourished in the chaos of civil war and now lost most of their territory are trying to seize on the U.S anti-terror campaign as their only route back to power through empowerment from Ethiopian Government.
We call The Ethiopian Government " TO BE SMART, BACK-OFF"
BE SMART- Victims of Somali's Civil War are demanding the warlords and those who harbor them to be brought to justice
BE SMART- This time U.S will not be misguided and replicated by Meles's regime as the Europeans were by Emperor Menelik's expansionist, which he convinced the Europeans during the African partition to accept him as a partner and allow his Kingdom to colonize other fellow African nation (SOMALIA).
BE SMART- The Somalis, O.A.U, Arab League, Muslim Countries and all international communities are watching very closely to your new game toward Somalia to call your enemy (TNG and Peace Loving Somalis ) a terrorist in the hope that America will destroy them for you so that Ethiopia can illegally occupy more Somalia Land.
BACK-OFF- We know how to rise from the ashes of Civil War on our own, Reconciled, Elected a Democratic Transitional Government " MADE IN SOMALIA".
BACK-OFF- Never undermine the Somalis unity and oneness when it comes to Ethiopian aggression.
In order to achieve good neighbors, Co-existence and long last stable region, don't misuse American's good intentions to fight against International Terrorism. Because SOMALIA IS NOT AND WILL NOT BECOME SAFEHEAVEN FOR TERRORISTS.
